While hiking near Black Diamond on the Green River, Dave spotted this tree that evidently has special meaning to a lot of woodpeckers! Hmm, lunch!

SAWDUST!

Yesterday, Dave and I saw, smelled and heard sawdust being made at the 34th annual Buckley (town 15 miles from here) Logging Days celebration where loggers competed in various buck saw, chain saw and logging skills. We saw some loggers shimmy up 300 foot poles, effortlessly! Even the clown competed in buck sawing - as you can see in the photo. Only, he was out to win, not to be funny! He came in second. Oh yah! We saw lots of suspenders, and the beer tent was rockin'.

Reindeer & Finland

Rod and Ivana are back from Finland where some of their meals included reindeer - and fish and mushrooms!
